Hello my name is Patrick Kalaw and I am the Mental Health Chair representing Eta Sigma Gamma, the national Public Health Honorary. We are putting on a mental health event called "Breaking Down the Barriers: The Faces of Mental Health" which will consist of guest speakers telling stories of their struggles with having a mental health diagnosis. After that will be a health fair style tabling session with different campus and community resources showcasing what they offer. The event will be on March 30th from 11am-1pm in the EUC Kirkland room and we invite you and members of National Art Education Association to attend. I believe this is pertinent information for your organization because creative arts students have shown much higher rates of suicide and suicide attempts than the general population.
